Drawing upon the essence of the Carnival's distinctive pattern, Alice and the refugee craft group skilfully hand-embroidered outlines and infused the design with life, using beautifully executed running stitched designs. What makes each cushion unique is the addition of free-hand stitched flora and fauna motifs, sprinkled throughout the design. These spontaneous elements not only complement the Carnival fabric's liveliness but also symbolise the resilience and adaptability of the human spirit, embodying the journeys and stories of the refugee artisans.
